It is o.k to eat fruits. The sugar in fruits is digested and absorbed more slowly than processed sugars. Hence it is very safe to eat fruits. Fruits will also provide you with a lot of fiber, necessary for keeping the bowel free as well as getting rid of cholesterol, fats, toxins and other impurities in the digestive system. Fruits will also provide you with water soluble vitamins some of which are antioxidants.

To regulate your blood pressure it is very important that you eat lots of fresh raw vegetables and fresh raw fruits. At least 60% of your diet should be of vegetables of which at least 50% should be eaten raw. At least 20% of your diet should be of fruits. The antioxidants and phytonutrients in fruits and vegetables help to reduce oxidation of cholesterol which would otherwise form plaque on the arteries when oxidized.

There are vegetables that are very good blood thinners. These are allium vegetables such as onions, garlic, scallion, chives, leek and shallots. The use of these will help to regulate your pressure.

Some persons with high blood pressure do eat beef moderately and have no problem with it, however there are others who keeps away from beef. Your diet should however include milk, cheese, nuts, seeds, grains, fish and all sea foods.

Eat all natural foods - yams, potatoes, pumpkins, breadfruits, squash etc. Vary your meals and have a very wide variety of natural foods.

It is very important that you limit the amount of salt you have in your diet. Using salt moderately or in very small quantity will help to regulate your pressure.

You do not need to add salt to vegetables if they are steamed in very small amount of water on very low heat. Also it is important that you do not overcook your vegetables. Your vegetables should still be crunchy when ready to be eaten.

While some persons will tell you not to use salt at all, not only that this is impossible, but also that you will run the risk of sodium deficiency. Sodium is important in
cellular osmotic pressure (the passage of fluids in and out of the cells) and in transmitting nerve impulses. The following link will give you more information about the benefit of sodium in the diet and the result of deficiency: http://www.healthvitaminsguide.com/minerals/sodium.htm

natural sugar in fruits will be ok.
a good way to lower blood pressure is to eat fruits with more potassium like bananas. and start exercising. walking no less than 20 mins a day, in an aerobic way.

hope you get better.
