I have very low blood pressure and have trouble using painkillers like Tylenol that lower blood pressure as a treatment of pain. Does anyone know of any painkillers that treat pain without lowering blood pressure?
I have heard of L-Arginine to be effective in lowering blood pressure but I have read there are safety precautions if a person has renal (what ever that is) and liver disease. I don’t know if I am susceptible to this aliment and want to take precautions. What do you know about it and what do recommend and do you know if it is safe to use?
I’m so confused on what kinds of foods are the best to eat for lowering blood pressure! Friends have said not to eat any fruits at all because of the natural sugar they contain! However when I look at articles online they seem to advocate eating lots of fruit! With taking practically all the salt out of our diet and having to eliminate so many things it’s hard to tell what a person with high blood pressure can eat!
Please help!
Thanks
I saw an article in the newspaper that vaguely mentioned vinegar and lowering blood pressure. I am wondering if there is any truth in this or just an ole’ wives tale. If there is any truth, what type of vinegar, and what dosage?
I want help lowering blood pressure naturally I would like to go off of my meds if possible. I would like to know the right types of foods and drinks and self care I can do Thanks in advance.
I heard and read about drug companies promoting their products for hypertension and bribing/influencing panels to lower standards for what is considered high blood pressure. These drugs have extreme side effects for some people. The older and cheaper diuretics are more effective for most people and have fewer serious side effects, but physicians are over prescribing the newer drugs.
Hypertension is a side effect not a disease. For most people is the result of lifestyle choices. Many people can prevent hypertension through diet, exercise, stress reduction, and other lifestyle choices.
For some people, drugs are important. For most people, a lifestyle choice would be better. For most people, the side effects of newer drugs are more harmful than the benefits. In many cases, life expectancy when using these drugs is reduced, despite what the honorable Dr. Oz (corporate sellout) claims.
What are your recommendations for lowering blood pressure through lifestyle changes?
My claims are supported by the book:

The DASH—Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension—diet was developed for a US government agency. Sadly, the US government has earned a reputation as being biased toward large corporations. I don’t trust a word of this study, especially the support of the dairy industry lobby. Dairy is not the best source of calcium. In addition, dairy in the US has genetically modified growth hormone and antibiotics.
I know someone that has to take 1/2 of a hydroclorthizide(water pill)due to their high blood pressure.Hows this work in lowering blood pressure?

My mom has essential high blood pressure sometimes reaching over the 200/160 mark. As her blood pressure has been high for a while she has an enlarged right ventricle which will and is leading to CHF. Her breathing is already heavy. Her doctor has given her Betaloc, Plendil, Inhibace, Dosan, Cartia a blood thinner, Lipex for high cholesterol and Quinine for night cramps. She’s in her early 70’s and she complains of head aches, extreme fatigue and loss of energy. She has increasing dark circles around her eyes as if she hasn’t slept in months with shortness of breath like she’s gasping for air. I would like her to try natural remedies because these synthetic drugs don’t appear to be doing much for her overall health. Can anyone advise some really good and effective natural remedies to treat both high blood pressure and CHF? I know Celery is good for lowering blood pressure.
My quandry, my insurance starts on June 1st and I am out of my blood pressure meds for 1 week only. What are some good herbal remedies for lowering blood pressure/diuretics?
The situation with my prescription, I do not have any refill or I would have filled it for a week and paid full price. Sadly I cannot even SEE my doctor as I had Kaiser insurance. I am taking half a pill for the next 4 days so I am not completely off.
